DDE (Deep Dose Equivalent)-(Hd), that applies to external whole body exposure. The dose equivalent at a tissue depth of 1 centimeter (cm) (1,000 milligrams per square centimeter)(mg/cm2).
LDE (Lens Dose Equivalent)- the external dose equivalent to the lens of the eye at a tissue depth of 0.3 cm (300mg/cm2).
SDE (Shallow Dose Equivalent)-(Hs), that applies to the external exposure of the skin or an extremity. The dose equivalent at a tissue depth of 0.007 cm (7mg/cm2) averaged over an area of 1 square centimeter (cm2).
