All personnel in around radiation sources and/or handling radioactive material.
Place inside of film badge holder. Placed in a location as far away from the radiation source as possible. (This would also be an ideal location to place everyone's radiation badge when not in use.)
- Whole Body Badge: Should be placed over the heart or chest.
- Extremity Badge: Worn on the hand used to handle radioactive material.
- Fetal Monitors: Place at the abdomen underneath lead aprons.
- Wrist Badges: Place on wrist of the arm handling radioactive material.
Each shipment will contain a pre-paid envelope to ship your old badges back to us as part of your service.

TLD stands for: Thermoluminescent Dosimeter. Used primarily to monitor the handling the radioactive material.
No, each badge # is assigned to one person for the lifetime of that badge.

If your badge exceeds your reporting period permissibles, you will be contacted by our technician with your dose.
Best practice is to keep all records.
Calibration intervals are 3 months, 6 months, and annually. Depending on the meter or application.
